Meet Sam Markley

Sam Markley is a businessman, writer and community advocate whose life outside of publishing gave him the material for his novels: a career in the automobile business, years of writing and editorial work, a background in baseball, and decades of fundraising for the schools and organizations around him.

His fiction is drawn from that experience — the way families build things together, the way ambition tests them, and the loyalties that hold long after the deals are done.

Killingly High School

Inducted into the Killingly High School Hall of Fame.

The first picture is an official statement from the governor of Connecticut, John Rolland declaring May 28th 2003 as SAM MARKLEY Day in the State of Connecticut. The statement was the result of various fund raisers Sam was in charge of including the annual St. James School golf tournament which raised thousands of dollars for St. James School. Sam ran the tournament ran for 18 years.

CONNECTICUT RECOGNITION

A Day in His Honor

On May 28, 2003, the Governor of the State of Connecticut proclaimed Sam Markley Day — a recognition of Sam’s years of service to his community, his work on behalf of local schools and organizations, and the example he set through a lifetime of giving back. The proclamation stands as a testament to a life lived in service of others.
